Emoliente ! Great taste and good for health!

This is the little moment I love!! When I have time to escape a bit from the asociation, I take a colectivo (car used as public transportation, you go to the city center for 1 sol) toward Nascas main place (called Plaza de armas as in any city of Peru). There, I know the exact place where I ll find what I am looking for :The emoliente seller. He's a peddler and arrives at night with his kind of mobile cantine. I always look for the same guy (there is another one on the other side of the road) because he's nice and I am always sure it would taste very good.

Emoliente is a hot drink (better to as it "tibio", lukewarm) made from local and medicinal plants and mixed with hot water and some slimy liquid made out from cactus.

The nice old guy (who starts to know me) gives you a full glass of emoliente(or a plastic bacg if you choose the "to go" version), I take it with a straw. You stay there and when they are few people you can talk with the guy about the plants, the fact that he has another job during the day (he wouldn t tell me which), or sometimes you just meet people you know or enjoy watching lives going on around and listening to the music coming out from the shop just in front.

When its over you pay 1,30 soles and there you go, you aren t cold anymore (nights start to be cold) and if it hurted you somewhere, it doesn t anymore! I am fullfilled of energy and can go for a new day with children!!!
