EVS progress

Hi,

it’s time to write on the blog! Well, of course a lot of things happen since the the last time I wrote here.

This experience is becoming more challanging for many reasons. At work is going better because I am helping Shanshan to organize EAT SMART Training Course that will be in Beijing on March. We are looking for partners that can help us to implement the project, organizing all the activities that will be done during the week and so on. I am reallly involved in the organization of this project and I’m looking foward for the TC. I hope we can manage everything and all the participants will be happy about the organization.
Last month there was the EU-China Civil Society Dialogue on Government Procurament of CSO Services. As CANGO volunteer I had a small, small task. I helped CANGO staff with the registration of foreign guests, take notes during the conference in order to write a report after, and give the lunch tickets. It wasn’t a big challenge but in my point of view it means something. It was a way to let me feel more involved in CANGO activities. Since the beginning it was hard to get in touch with my collegues, because they are very busy and work a lot and this was an opportunity to know other collegues with whom I never talked before and also better understand CANGO work. The three days of conference was really interesting. To be honest it was really hard in the beginning to unterstand what they were talking about, but luckily then it becoming clearer and clearer, and I could enjoy better the conference. It was an opportunity to learn more about Europe and discover more things about China.

To know better China are also useful the visits that we do to CANGO members organization. Last week we went to "Senior Citizen Cooperative", an organization that care about old people. Moreover, on december I went to Zigen for the new year activity. I went to the shop where they sell second hand clothes and I tried to help, but my contribute wasn’t a lot because the cold weather... the activity was outside and you can imagine on december in Beijing in the countryside...

Next week will be Chinese spring festival, that is the Chinese New year. As you can imagine, it is a very important celebration, and all Chinese are looking forward the celebration and to be honest me too!!! 
Last Thursday there was a party in CANGO to celebrate the new year, so guests from CANGO member organization were invitated here and there was a really fun party. Snacks, prizes, games, exbitions. Really funny!!!!!

As you see, something happen and EVS is still in progress...ready for new challenges.
