Firts steps
Hello everyone!
We arrived in Vistsa Alegre (closed to Nasca) on March, 3rd. We've been welcomed by al the others volunteers.
For our frist week, our job was mainly to follow the volunteers during their classes to observe and learn. We also started the homework’s help for the children of the aldea.
By now, we can't say much more about our job because we're still learning.
Beside the work at school, we've been in contact with the peruvian population at many occasions starting on the night of our arrival where we got to see two traditionnal peruvian dances at the International festival of dance of Nasca. That's how we discovered the salva (amazonian's dance) and the sierra (moutain's dance).
We also participated at the homemade cookies'sell that the others volunters initiated. We went in the main place of Nasca on tuesday night to propose cookies (we called it pequitos) to the population. To get everyone's attention, we sang “que rico, que rico nuestros pequitos”.
This week, it will be our shores week in our house and we might start the classes so we will be busy!
