EU-China Dialogue on Government Procurement of CSO Service
Hi everybody !
Last week the four of us spent three days attending a conference about the EU-China Dialogue on Government Procurement of CSO Service.
Organized in two times, the first part dedicated to some presentations and the second one to workshops, that was really fascinating. Understanding how the chinese government deals with NGOs and associations, what are the problems they are facing and how they find a way to work with it. So interesting cause so far from the european way to collaborate.
In my point of view, two presentations was especially informative. First the one performed by Oliver Henman, Head of EU & International, National Council for Voluntary Organizations about « The role of the voluntary sector in providing public services in the UK », and secondly the one about the « Ecological Environment Project in Miyun District » presented by Yun Xiaofei, Project Manager from Global Village Beijing.
The only problem we faced was the language one cause, even if every intervention was in english (thanks to the translators) we didn’t have all the vocabulary requested. Next time we will have to ask for some documents or articles about the main topics to be more familiar with the specific terms used.
Enjoy the great pictures took by Yina!
