My name is Janaina, but during the first days in China I received the name 依娜 (Yinà). With a chinese name I fell welcome in the chinese community! I am one of the EurAsiAmerica volunteers in Beijing. My sending organization is CESIE from Italy.
This is my first time in China and my impressions are very good. China has a rich and detailed culture. I felt the most important language impact at the supermarket and the mainly China enchantment at the Summer Palace (photo). But still have so much to discover and I am using my free time to do it.
Our host organization is Cango, but I work with Capucine at Zigen Association for Rural Education and Development in China. My main activity take place in the Migrant Workers Center, located at Beijing periphery. Educational and empowerment activities to migrant workers families are implemented there so I have direct contact with the people and the chinese culture, and I like this so much!
Over the coming weeks I will share more about this experience.
