Survival Communication in China

I dont speak Chinese. I can speak just little words. Some times when I speak the Chinese people don’t understand me...

I like the Chinese, is nice, but difficult, mainly during the first months. I made some Chinese Lessons and Costanza taught me some words. Is essential know words to eat, to ask “how much”, to locomotion and the polite words. The “survival words” together the Body Communication works a lot!

For example, near our house have a little bread shop where works a gentile and nice lady. We developed a body communication between us: 

To ask other things, I point with the finger saying “this” in Chinese: zhe ge.

With some Zigen staff colleagues we established some other ways to communicate:

We have fun using our “Song Communication”! First they sing in Chinese and after they made the English translation. I learned some words making this.

We have too the “Kung Fu Communication”. We watched the Chinese movie “The Grand Master” and we play some times with this kind of Body Communication:

I had some informal Chinese Lessons with a gentle colleague, with much draw and fun.

Some times we use the Google and the Baidu translators - it's very useful.

The communication is much important to the experience enrichment. I still fell bad when someone came to talk with me, generally much gentile, like in the Community Center and in some shops, and I can not understand. I can use just the polite words and the Body Communication. But I could learn and improve other types of communication with much funny!
